The first thing you’ll notice as you enter the Beyond Van Gogh exhibit is the sheer scale of it all. There’s 30,000 square feet of projection screens surrounding you, immersing you in a world of Van Gogh’s art. Combined with a beautiful score and countless surprises, you’re in for a ride that will fill your senses and leave you feeling amazed.

The experience’s emphasis on combining animation and still images creates a dynamic that keeps visitors captivated from beginning to end. A dream-like haze adds an even more surreal atmosphere to the room, as colors morph and shift to enhance Van Gogh’s famous swirls and texture-covered canvases.

Throughout the show, you’ll be surrounded by colorful and vivid portrayals of Van Gogh’s art. As paintings come to life around you, you’ll find yourself utterly silent, mesmerized by the depth and intricate details that only come out when you look closer at the art.

The experience isn’t limited to the projection screens, either. There are other interactive surprises glowing in the darkness–these small details make the experience even more memorable. This event runs from July 6th, 2023 until September 2nd, 2023 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. The exhibit is open Tuesday-Sunday, beginning at 10am with time slots staggered 15 minutes apart.
